Nyenrode's International Business Game rewards top talent

From June 2nd until June 4th, Nyenrode held its second International Business Game for the full-time MBA program. This time in cooperation with the Dutch company Inzentiz. During this three day event, potential students from different countries not only participated in an intensive real-life business case, but also attended an interactive Strategic Finance lecture by Prof. Dr. Dennis Vink.

Business challenge
During the first day of the International Business Game, the participants travelled to Nyenrode’s campus at the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam where from September on the full-time MBA will be based. In the morning the participants took part in an interactive Strategic Finance lecture hosted by Prof. Dr. Dennis Vink. Afterwards they were presented with an extensive real-life business challenge provided by Derk van Wijk en Hans Meijs from Inzentiz. Once the groups were formed, each individual team started working on the case. During dinner the participants were joined by two of our MBA alumni, who shared their experience of studying at Nyenrode.

Presenting the business case
On the second day, and after an early breakfast, all the teams went straight to their cubicles to prepare for the final presentations. The jury members were really impressed by each team’s creative ideas and unique solution to the business case provided by Inzentiz. After the business game was finished and the winners were announced, the participants travelled back to Amsterdam. Joined by two of our current full-time MBA students, everyone jumped onto a boat for a cruise along the city’s historic canals. The day ended with a visit to the Heineken Experience.
